Surprise Sunflowers!

So last year I put out a bird feeder. Months went by. No birds.
Then just as I was going to give up, they all started coming in droves! Finches, grosbeaks, cardinals, bluejays, a raccoon, a fox, a skunk- oh, my!
Anyway, the bi-product of all this was the seed sprouting on the ground beneath the feeder. I was going to pull it all but decided to see what would happen- and I have a beautiful patch of sunflowers!
